My career started 1990 with KPMG in Germany. I enjoyed the work so much I decided to go to university to study audit and tax. After I finished studying, I was hired by Arthur Andersen and worked in their tax department working with international clients, which I enjoyed. I have always had a focus on international matters and when I came to the UK I worked with clients from abroad who were carrying out business in the UK. Because of my background I understand the difficulties a business from outside the UK could have, and I also understand the tax issues they might face in their home country.
My focus is always to work together with the client and their advisers abroad to get things sorted before problems can arise.
In my private life I am very much into yoga. I practice almost every day and this keeps me in a good mood during the day. Also, I want to try new things which is why I love travelling and finding new places to fall in love with.
